The capital of Spain is Madrid.
Madrid is situated in the middle of Spain, more or less.

Spain is a peninsula famous for its coasts and beaches, although there are many mountains chains inland.
Spain is situated at the Southwest of Europe and it occupies the greater part of the Iberian Peninsula.
Spain is separated from France (and the rest of Europe) by the Pirineos. Its coasts are washed by the Mediterranean Sea in the south and east, and by the Atlantic Ocean in the north and the west.
Spain has two island provinces: Baleares in the Mediterranean Sea and Canary Islands in the Atlantic Ocean.

Wild Animals
The lince ibérico is a feline bigger than a domestic cat.
It lives only in Spain and Portugal.
Nowadays it is protected because it nearly becomes extinct.
The wolf, lobo (canis lupus) in Spanish. This carnivorous animal has got long and pointed canines´ teeth. It is considered one of the most intelligent animals.
The cabra montés or Spanish goat
is one of the most important animals in Spain.
The águila imperial ibérica. Its wingspan is 1.80 m aprox.
The bull (toro ibérico) is a very brave animal.
The bullfightings are famous all over the world.
